Research suggests that it takes 10 to 15 tries before a kid will actually eat—and like—a new food.

Children need to eat every three to four hours: three meals, two snacks,. If you plan for these, your child's diet will be much more balanced

Eating is not just grasping finger foods or using a spoon.Following some basic guidelines can help you encourage your kids to eat right and maintain a healthy weight


  • Educate yourself and your kids
  • Make a point of trying something new now and then at a family meal. When your children see this, as well as your positive reaction

    • Offer fresh lime juice

    offer sweetened fresh lime juice, instead of water. Lime improves digestion and appetite.
    • Get the Kids Involved and Let Them Choose

    If such is your child’s case, try offering his/her favourite foods initially to get the metabolism running.

    • Offer a Variety

    Parents often praise their kids for trying new foods or eating certain amounts. let them pick what they like best
